Class Descriptions


--PiYO--

Piyo Interval - Piyo by Beachbody is a fusion of powerful Pilates and Yoga inspired moves with an amped-up pace for serious fat burning cardio, strengthening and lengthening all in one.  We've combined the benefits of core strengthening and lean muscle development with intense cardio intervals for a heavy duty calorie incinerating workout.


--Silver Sneakers Senior Fitness--

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living.  Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance.  A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.



--Cardio Fit--

Designed for active adults who desire a low impact cardio workout.  This class includes aerobic choreography for cardiovascular endurance, strength training with hand weights & elastic tubing and floor work for core (abdominals and lower back) conditioning.  Also includes flexibility and stretching exercises to maintain range of movement and activities of daily living.



--Interval--

Get ready to push yourself to your limit for short bursts of time.  Interval training takes a participant through a series of cardio and strength training exercises with relatively brief rest intervals.  Each interval will provide new challenges to help you improve your functionality, strength, and endurance.  Interval training is a great way to ramp up your typical cardio workout and increase metabolism.



--Cardio Cross-Training--

Instructors teach their own class style on a rotating schedule.  Check the calendar by the front desk to find out which instructor and class style is scheduled for each Saturday.


--Body Chisel--

Body Chisel is a barbell class that strengthens your entire body.  This 60-minute work out challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts, and curls.  Certified instructors guide you through the choreography, inspiring you to get the results you came for.


--J60XT--

Challenge yourself with an hour of J60XT!  This intense class combines Tabata cardio intervals, combination strength moves, and ab work for an hour of challenging and high-impact exercise.  This class is a bit different from our other classes - it will push you out of your comfort zone.  This is a great conditioning class for total body strength.
